Engr. Michael Effiong Essien is a distinguished professional with over 46 years of experience in engineering design, construction, project management, and maintenance. Renowned for his expertise in managing complex projects, he has demonstrated a consistent ability to exceed stakeholder expectations and deliver impactful results across various sectors, particularly in the oil, gas, and power industries.
His career highlights include serving in leadership roles such as Executive Chairman of Noval Services Nigeria Limited, where he managed large-scale projects, including gas pipeline development and real-time gas monitoring systems. Earlier in his career, Engr. Essien held pivotal positions at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) and Mobil Producing Nigeria, overseeing engineering, maintenance, and project execution in refinery and petrochemical plants.
An alumnus of Ahmadu Bello University (B.Eng. Mechanical) and the University of Lagos (B.Sc. Business Administration), Engr. Essien is a member of several professional bodies, including the Nigerian Society of Engineers (NSE). His extensive experience spans reservoir engineering, pipeline design, materials management, and power plant development, underscoring his versatility and technical prowess.
